The Goldon 11070 soprano glockenspiel is chromatic and goes from C to G. It is comprised of 20 black and white blades, representing midtones, as on a piano scale. It has a base in laminated wood.
This company was founded in Markneukirchen in 1936, Germany. Under the brand name "Goldon", it only produced high quality recorders. In the late 1940s, the catalog was expanded to include musical toys: harmonicas, zithers, children's clarinets, castanets, children's guitars, metallophones, etc.
An extensive and colorful range was created, aimed at the musical education of children.
Since then, Goldon has continued to develop and many instrument developments for music education have appeared.
The workshops in Markneukirchen have a long tradition of making musical instruments. They are in the heart of the region called "Musikwinkel" and internationally its production of quality instruments is recognized.
