The Fender PD 220E is an electroacoustic folk guitar from the Paramount series, which recovers the best of guitars manufactured in the 60s with modern technology.

Fender's Paramount series is made for guitarists looking for vintage-inspired guitars with high sound quality and superior performance. The PD 220E is a handcrafted electro-acoustic guitar built in keeping with the roots of instruments built in the golden age of American folk.

The Fender Paramount PD 220E has a dreadnought shape and is built with high quality woods. The top is in solid spruce supported by X-shaped beams, also in spruce, cut to the shape of the body for greater definition and a harmonious reverberation with the top, giving it support and presence.

The bottom and sides are in solid mahogany, which gives richness to the timbre and solidity to the structure. The neck is also made of mahogany and is very easy to play thanks to its C cutout. The 20-fret fingerboard is in ovangkol.

The bone nut and ovangkol bridge provide quality sonic sustain and intonation stability, secured by open vintage style nickel-plated chimes.

With a glossy lacquer finish, the PD 220E Paramount also shines in the aesthetic sense. Decor features pearlescent snowflake inlays, feather-design valances, rosette and backstrip, and a Tiger Stripe nail guard.

To make themselves heard through an amplification system, the Fender Paramount PD 220E has the latest Sonitone Plus preamp, designed by Fender in conjunction with Fishman®. The controls are hidden in the guitar's soundhole preserving the guitar's vintage aesthetic.

Under the top, a body-sensitive pickup enhances the top's vibrations, which can be matched with the Sonicore pickup under the comb.

The Fender Paramount PD 220E is an exceptional quality guitar for musicians who are particularly interested in a unique instrument for great performance. Sound, style and history, in a single guitar.
