The Origin series by Toca Percussion is a range of instruments made from wood grown in sustainable plantations, with concern for the environment, and treated in solar-powered ovens.
The Toca Percussion TODJ-8CK is a hand-carved djembé from a single piece of mahogany. It has a warm and vibrant resonance, thanks to its selected natural leather, with a diameter of 8 inches (just over 20 cm). The tuning system is by strings and the interior of the chalice has grooves carved to eliminate some harmonics. The height of TODJ-8CK is 16 inches, about 40 cm.
The decor is discreet, with Celtic motifs engraved in the wood, which give it a traditional and organic look.
The sound of the Toca Percussion TODJ-8CK is very present and well defined, making itself heard perfectly when played solo or with other instruments, thanks to the natural resonance of the wood and the natural skin.
