When Amália premiered in the prestigious Fado House Retiro da Severa, in 1939, it began a long and glowing career that span more that 60 years, gaining the devotion of many fans around the world. In 2009, 10 years after the artist death, there were ephemeredes a little all over the world to signal the death of Amália in October 6th of 1999. The record AMÁLIA THE GREATEST SONGS presents some of the best recordings of the artist during the 50s, including classics like Barco Negro, Solidão, Uma Casa Portuguesa, Coimbra and many others.
