Description

The Portuguese cavaquinho Artimúsica CV12L is a traditional instrument in sound and constr uction, but with an original characteristic.

The cavaquinho is one of the most popular Portuguese chordophones. Used in traditional music, from the Minho raids to the Madeira viras, it has found space in other musical genres that benefit from its bright and very lively sound.

The Artimúsica CV12L is a high quality model. It is manufactured by Artimúsica, one of the most prestigious national brands of traditional chordophones. The process is artisanal and applies the best materials and all the knowledge of the artisans.

The CV12L has two half-tops. One half is in spruce and the other is in panga panga, creating a contrasting effect between the two woods. The mouth is round, outlined by a simple and discreet pattern, but with a beautiful effect.

The back and sides are in solid spruce and panga panga. The neck is in poplar, and the fingerboard is also in panga panga, in a beautiful effect of continuity from the top half.

The choice of woods is made with the brilliant sound of this instrument in mind, as well as its longevity. The finish enhances the natural grains of the wood, as well as giving it a very natural look and great aesthetic value.

The Artimúsica CV12L is a nod to university students. The distinctive feature of this model is the fan-shaped chime, accompanied by a teardrop-shaped scroll, a feature reminiscent of Coimbra fado guitars.

The cavaquinho is used as an accompaniment instrument or soloist in a tuna, by traditional music groups, and even by pop music groups that have integrated it into their compositions.

Artimúsica is one of the most illustrious brands of Portuguese popular instruments. Founded in September 1992, it is one of the leading brands in the artisanal construction of traditional Portuguese instruments.

This family business follows the construction method started by master Joaquim José Machado, over 100 years ago. Today, his descendants manufacture each instrument as if it were a true work of art, making each piece unique and of high quality.

Enjoy tradition with an original instrument like the Artimúsica CV12L cavaquinho.
